I have this recurring error message with yellow sign that stops my progress and makes me either answer yes or no to "continue anyway."

I've rebooted, scanned for viruses, and deleted any unknown or wanted programs.

Any ideas? Ghostal? Please.smile

Is this in Internet Explorer? I am not very familiar with that error... I found this website which has some information. Where are you seeing the error? It might be an incompatible website, or a website with its own errors.

Yeah, IE9. I had  to fire up the netbook to get here. That link looks very promising! I Think I'm going to have to go into the Internet Options stuff. Unfortunately the corruption isn't just with one or two sites.

I'm on it, and thanks again for your service...smile

I think. Seems ok after I reset a couple Internet Options about directx and stuff. Also reinstalled nefarious Norton.

Thanks!

Have you ever considered using Firefox? It's a lot more reliable than IE, I've been using it for years.

If it's compatible with most other programs and antivirus stuff, I could give it a try. Cost?

I have Windows Vista btw and can't get out of it on this computer (lenovo crapbox.)

I suspect that a lot of my problems are Vista related.
