Anti-religion? Only a zealot would see it that way.

No, just someone sick of the incessant rattle of empty heads pretending they have issues that matter.

Because not wanting to live in a theocracy makes you empty headed? I'm sure you zealots would like to make those of us with working brains believe that.

JW, you have made your opinion regarding jury verdicts clear (OJ is not guilty). Do you not think decisions by judges, especially those sitting on high courts, should be equally respected?

JW has nothing but respect for the high courts, as long as they agree with him.

It's your fear that a stone monument threatens to turn us into a theocracy?  Surely you jest.

I respect their power.  There is no requirement to agree with them.

Are you being deliberately obtuse? Sorry, dumb question, of coarse you are.

People don't have to agree with the O.J. Simpson jury verdict either, yet you wouldn't let that go.  hmm

Funny, I almost spelled it Shirley... If you think a state accepting a 10 Commandments monument is a slippery slope and same sex marriage isn't,...

I have never said he wasn't the murderer.  I suspect he was.  What I said is the prosecution never made the case against him.  If he is innocent until proven guilty then he remains innocent.

A slippery slope is a slippery slope.  Apples and oranges both roll down slopes.

Funny, I'm the one speaking for tolerance.  Now that is irony.  If Jewish, Islamic, Satanist, Buddhist, Flying Spaghetti Monster, and all other religions also give a gift to the state, I would hope they too would be subject to gracious acceptance.  Since it is a gift to the state, anywhere they put it would necessarily be state property, even the dark corner of the back of a warehouse.

Also, SCOTUS already decided in the case for Texas that displaying the Ten Commandments on state property is NOT a violation of an kind.

First, and I think you know this, the Oklahoma Supreme court did not base their decision on whether the monument violated the US Constitution. The Texas case does not apply here.

Second, the decision by the court has nothing to do with tolerance or the lack of it. If you have a beef, it is not with the court, but with those who brought the suit.

And bullshit is bullshit. You have no valid argument.

I haven't mentioned the OkSC.  Why would I have a beef with them?  My beef is with the people who just can't leave anything religious alone, whoever they may be.

The case is going to the SCOTUS  and they will likely make the same ruling they did in Texas.  The givers of the gift drafted their gift legislation in conformity with the Texas SCOTUS findings.  The monument will likely stay where it is.

More bullshit from the religious right. Atheists aren't trying to change your beliefs.

Pray at home or pray in your tax-exempt churches, just keep it to yourselves. Put your idols on public land, try to teach your beliefs in our schools or try to make your religion law and all bets are off.
