 Exactly.

Glad you agree. So, what was the context of my one and only use of the word 'black'? Well, gee, I referred to YOUR little black Jesus. To anyone with a grasp of context, the reflection was on you, not anyone else. You are the one who makes constant accusations of racism. You are the one whose religious devotion is to the man, ignoring what he has done. I wouldn't be surprised if you had a tiny statue of him glued to the dashboard of your car... or pickup, as the case may be.

The context was you, your views, your prejudices, your behavior. Obama was just the device I employed to define you. You might be able to get a certain amount of disdain of you out of that remark but you sure can't get racism out of it unless you put it there. Your reaction to my usage says a lot more about you than it does about me. It was my intention to expose that and you obliged... a lot more intensely than even I expected.

Explain something to me. How can free speech exist with political correctness? How does coercing someone into prescribed verbiage lead to understanding or comprehension? How does it make us more able to truly define ourselves instead of forcing us into manufactured definitions ordered by the masters with the verbal cattle prods?

Why did you feel the need to to say "Your little black Jesus"? Is it your habit to specify the race of any person you speak of?

I wasn't speaking of him. I was speaking of you. You and Charlie are the most race conscious people I've ever met. You see racial and sexual offenses in places they were never imagined.

I was addressing your race consciousness.

I don't give rat's patoot what color a person is or how he chooses to live his life. If I want him in my life, he's welcome, if I don't, he won't be. If I don't like what he does, I'll say so and I don't care who he is.

Remember what happened to us at Proboards? I don't want to ban him but I'm not going to let him torpedo this board either. It's up to him.

Hell, yeah...we got screwed, blewed, and tattooed. I will never forget the way they knifed us in the back.

But if ActiveBoards really gets that snarky about "stuff" (AKA hate speech), then how come we're still alive? Past transgressions have been a lot worse during the last 6 1/2 years.

Charlie

TresBigDog went to ProBoards and specifically reported nytramsplace. If no one is reporting it then no one at activeboards is going to know to be looking for it.

BigDog frequents this board too. If he actuality did report us to Proboards isn't it reasonable to expect him to do the same here if he finds a thread objectionable?

I think he's mellowed with age...and considering all that has happened in this country since 2011...the bar has been lowered and it might take more to piss him off. Instead of a report, probably a shrug. He isn't as invested in this place as he was in the old one. I think he got banned and was allowed back.

If this place gets blown up, that's it for me. Not gonna start over. I'm getting too old for this crap.

He's probably got better things to be concerned about since his daughter killed that guy by accident.

Ah, obviously not the newbie I thought you were. He stopped talking about her, so I suppose she's doing prison time.

It sounded like she was either high or communicating on an electronic device. Maybe both.

Funnily enough, my wife and I were vacationing in that area on the same weekend.
Beautiful end-of-summer weather that evening. Roads were clear and dry.

Using information available to me publicly on this forum I was able to find out that it was distracted driving. She will serve six months in county jail, six months in a treatment center with three years probation, and a nearly indefinite driver's license suspension. For Tres' sake I will not say which information I used or a link to any of the articles. It is a very sad situation for every person involved.

And saddest of all for the next of kin of the guy who died...

Alas, JKP, as much as I welcomed your presence in its beginning, after this revelation, I must reconsider. blankstare

What? Why? I provided a correction on the details of the situation and I was respectful of Tres family's privacy.

I have two "why" problems with this.  It's become quite apparent you're no newcomer.  I'm sure a lot of us oldtimers would appreciate your revealing the name in which you used to post, thereby keeping our exchanges honest.

My other "why" problem is that Tres, not you, should be the one to comment further upon the episode.

So what does JamesKPolk stand for, "JustKidding,People"?

"Cousin Kitty, let's go over to Cousin bwitch's castle and carve some jack-o-lanterns!"

"Well, if you insist, Cousin Hades, but don't bwitch and bwizard have staff to do that?"

"I guess they do.  All right, we can draw designs on the pumpkins and have the staff do the messy work, and then light them and set them afloat in the moat."

"I do love this time of year, Hades."

"I suspect we all do, Kitty."

James K. Polk was the 11th president of the United States.

Tres posted about what happened. It was not a secret. Finding further information took a three word Google search. If he did not want people to have an update then he should not have posted about it in the first place. I provided an update while at the same time being respectful of his privacy. I see no problem.

The date of the accident was Friday, August 29, 2014. So we know you were here then. Giving the username you had on that date would be the right thing to do.

I read through every single post on this board and learned everything I could so that I would be able to participate better as a full-fledged member of the community. biggrin
