Aww!

For 15 years my old girl Patty Cat always waited outside the shower for me, talking to me the whole time. Its looking like Maggie will follow in Patty Cat's footsteps.

Sweet video. aww

Squeeek can be as far away from the master bedroom's shower as the house will allow, but as soon as I finish drying off, she shows up to inspect the shower stall.  She's one of those cats who doesn't seem to mind getting her feet wet.

Leo has his very own water dish in the bathtub. I know he'd like to have the faucet dripping or trickling all the time, as so many cats do, but I am not going to waste water. A dish that says KITTY will have to be enough for him.

He will hop into the tub and stare at the full dish and even meow, until I pour more kitty water into the dish so that it overflows. he loves to watch the water run down the tub and into the drain, even if his feet get wet. He will look at the water for a while and then he will circle the dish a few times and start drinking out of it. But not as long as he used to.

I am quite worried about Leo. The thing I have heard is that kitties who stare at the water dish and don't drink from it are the ones who are having kidney problems and are not going to be around too long. He already has an inoperable growth on his liver and he's even skinnier than usual and seems less active and less energetic. And he's also fourteen.

Our Orangy Boy spent almost a week at the vet's and it cost us plenty, but they had him on an IV and they gave him other meds and we have given him some, too. Also these sky-blue pills that he spits out, and he hides them behind the garbage can, but I find them and Lucinda makes him swallow them again. Kitties! Gotta love 'em.

He used to love getting into the tub and drinking from his own private dish. Now, not so much. But he still loves to walk on Lucinda's face and lick our hair and sleep in the sun. This might be his last summer, or he might have a couple more. You never can tell.

Charlie
