Never watched it...not even for a moment. But if Molly Ringwald was in it, I guess I really missed something.

Didn't watch "Diff'rent Strokes" either. I was very picky about the TV shows I chose to watch in the Seventies and Eighties

Do remember her from "Car 54" in the early Sixties, though she only appeared in about a dozen episodes. Go figure, huh?

I didn't watch it either. I wasn't the demographic they were shooting for, but my kids watched.

 Molly Ringwald !!!

She was in Packin' it In and played the wayward daughter to whom Paula Prentiss said, "When you are older and married to a doctor, you will understand"

I loved that movie.

Ever see "Sixteen Candles"...where she walks down the steps of that big orange-brick Art Deco high school in the mid-Eighties?
I did the same thing every day for four years (1961-1965).

That film was made at my old school. They used a pedestrian bridge as a lunchroom, and classrooms, and the gym.

They still had the same old car in the auto shop, twenty years later. And a lot of the rest of the movie was filmed where I grew up.

I have just downloaded the movie. It looks like cheerful rubbish so I will watch it tonight when Herself goes off to thump some learning into her pupils.

Miz Charlotte was only a day younger than Queen Elizabeth.  My friend Audrey, who, if she's still with us (haven't heard from her since Easter at least) has them outdone by 4 years.

Anyway, my mother, after she moved in with us, and I used to watch Facts of Life re-runs (and a lot of other programs we liked) during the one week out of the month that Eddie was on afternoon shift.  I've probably watched more re-runs than original showings most of my life.  The past 6 years or so, I haven't watched t.v. much at all.
