I read about Woodward's new book last evening when I first came on-line, had a feeling the moment I saw it that you'd encountered the article as well.

At my age, I'm reluctant to wish for time to go by faster, but when it comes to current politics, I have to admit that it can't pass fast enough.hmm

You should read Field Marshall William Slim's Defeat into Victory.

Slim was said to have been a modest man who had little to be modest about and possibly the ablest general of WWII. He was also one of the few soldiers who did not think that his superiors were total tossers.
